Mild Steel Sheet / Plates / Coils
Flat products cover everything from heavy base plates down to light fabricated covers. All of it is priced by weight, and steel weighs 7.85 kg per square metre for every millimetre of thickness, which is the only number you need to estimate a job.
What we supply
- Hot rolled plate: 5 mm to 100 mm, in 1500 x 6000 and 2000 x 6000 mm
- Hot rolled sheet: about 1.5 mm to 12 mm, in 4 x 8 ft and 6 m sizes
- Hot rolled coil: 1219 to 2500 mm wide, full coils, slit coil or cut to length
- Chequered plate: tear drop and diamond pattern for floors, treads and ramps
Grades and cutting
Commercial quality for forming and pressing, or structural grades such as ASTM A36, SS400, S275JR and S355JR where strength is specified. Plate and sheet are cut to your sizes, which usually beats buying standard sheets and scrapping the offcuts. The steel grades guide explains how the grades compare.
How to order
