Galvanized Iron Hollow Sections (GI)

In UAE conditions, bare steel left outside rusts fast, and the coast makes it faster. Hot dip galvanizing after fabrication coats the inside, the weld seam and every cut end, which is exactly where paint fails first.

What we supply

• Galvanized square tube: 20 x 20 to 300 x 300 mm
• Galvanized rectangular tube: 50 x 25 to 400 x 200 mm
• GI pipe: 1/2 inch to 6 inch, light, medium and heavy series, plain or threaded

Hot dip or pre-galvanized

Two different products get called galvanized tube. Pre-galvanized tube is formed from coated strip, so the coating is thin and the weld and cut ends are bare. Hot dip galvanized tube is dipped after manufacture, giving a far thicker coating inside and out. For external, structural and coastal work, specify hot dip to EN ISO 1461. How to order
