Mild Steel Round & Flat Bar
Bar is what fills the gaps in a fabrication job: shafts, pins, anchor bolts, straps, base plates, balustrade infill and a hundred smaller parts. Both types are priced by weight, so the calculation matters.
What we supply
- Round bar: 6 mm to 200 mm diameter, structural and machining grades
- Flat bar: 19 mm to 200 mm wide, from 3 mm thick
- Strip cut from plate to any width where rolled flat bar does not cover the size
Working out the weight
Round bar is 0.006165 times the diameter in mm squared, in kg per metre. Flat bar is width times thickness times 0.00785. Both product pages carry full tables, and the steel weight chart covers every other section.
How to order
