GI Grating
Galvanized grating is the standard surface for walkways, platforms, trench covers and stair treads in the UAE. It drains, it lets light through, it weighs less than plate, and hot dip galvanizing keeps it serviceable outdoors for years.
What we supply
- GI gratings: bearing bars from 25 x 3 up to 50 x 5 mm, at 30 or 40 mm pitch
- Panels cut, banded and galvanized to your opening sizes
- Trench and drainage covers, stair treads with serrated nosing, and clips
Specifying grating properly
Four numbers describe a panel: bearing bar size, bearing bar pitch, cross bar pitch and panel size. Load class depends on all of them plus the span and the frame, so send the opening and the traffic rather than guessing. How to order
